Herts WoodFuel provides a 30 ton tractor powered log splitter for hire; the service is available to customers who have both timber rings and billets that require splitting.
The Posch Splitmaster30 is recognised as one of the best high volume production log splitters available. With a splitting power of 30 tonnes, the horizontal splitter handles almost every log, with a splitting stroke up to 1.2m - unbeatable for large volumes of wood and stable performance. The log lifting device and the optimum working height enable ergonomic working.
The Splitmaster is equipped with a 6-way hydraulically adjustable knife that allows it to split small or large diameter logs.
This is no lightweight splitter, its Austrian engineered brilliance and weighs 1.2 tonnes, yet is can be powered by a 40 hp+ tractor, running 540rpm PTO.

Day Rate Cost @ £450 + VAT (ex Yard, 8hrs)
Additional Hours on site @ £50 + VAT / Hour
Splitmaster30 Only:
7 - day Minimum Hire @ £750 + VAT
Month Hire @ £2,500 + VAT
Customer responsible for providing tractor and handling facilities to offload from trailer.
In both options, the following charges also apply:
· Travel / Delivery Charges @ £1 + VAT per mile round trip
· Overnight Accommodation if required @ £150 + VAT
